    Storm Hector

been blowing since late last night, 70 to 80mph gusts. garden looks like autumn with all the leaves blowing around.

was bright and sunny till half an hour ago now black and hammering it down.

due to get worse as the day goes on.

Just off to Stornoway for the day.... typical

    Hector hit anywhere else yet?

Very breezy for Surrey down Surrey way today. The wind whistling around the house this morning as I lay a-bed reminded me of a summer day on Tiree...

And the name of the storm stirred poignancy in my heart as it is my Father's name (and he being from Tiree)

    to infinity and beyond...

...well from 10.0 to 9.4 this year would be nice.

And last medal of the year (Oct) saw me play to handicap but CSS was +1 so that was me down 0.2 from 8.3 to 8.1

    Job done

It's a bit blowy here in Newcastle, clouds a belting past, sunny at the moment, got a few plant pots blowing around the back garden and a couple of fence slats came loose which I've nailed back in to place.

50 mph here in Whitley Bay. Pity as it's a nice sunny day otherwise, would have been perfect for a game of golf ...

Bridge Closed here, I'd be surprised if the ferry is running to Stornaway, though it's heading east so you may get lucky.

Got stuck on the m62 near Manchester for 90 minutes due to a trailer which had blown over. Bit breezy here in Southport but it’s blue skies and sunbathing weather if it wasn’t for the wind.

Gusts are getting a lot stronger now. looking from my home office out of the back gardens, when there is a strong gust, you can see the larger window glass flexing, not be much but you know it is as the reflection in them distorts.
