4 and witnessed 3 - the one I was most pleased with though, was when playing in a comp with my son and he had one.

Seems fair enough and I agree. Mind you I'm sure once I get one that'll all change in a flash

One, at a signature par 3 on an Alister MacKenzie designed course. You may have heard of it.......

No, not that one, it was on Gibraltar at Moortown. http://www.moortown-golf-club.co.uk/hole10.html For those 6 or so seconds from hitting the ball to it dropping in I was one of the best golfers on the planet

Don't understand this attitude to be honest. If I got a hole in one there's no way I'd be bankrupting myself with a £100 bar bill. I'd buy a round for the guys I was playing with (usually do that anyway) but that's it. I don't care if it's tradition, if I can't afford it I can't afford it! Imagine getting a hole in one then going home miserable because you can't afford to eat for the next week.

I don’t disagree with this. Our club will make a contribution of £200 so I’d probably put that behind the bar. Or I’d buy a bottle of whiskey & stick it on the bar. I’m not buying the whole bar a beer on a medal Saturday, at an away course, just my group
