I never keep a card if out of competition. I can usually remember my score against par as I go round

I do yeah. I don't have the mental arithmetic to keep track of all the shots I'd be over par!

At end of a round i could tell you in detail every shot taken by all 4 people in the fourball.

And no I am not rainman. I just remember rounds of golf when I am playing.

I mark my score and putts on every round I play. Even if practicing with a few balls I’ll have my ball for the round which I score.

I’m trying to see where I go wrong more often so have a nice excel sheet that calculates my par 3/4/5 average to see if I struggle on a particular hole. Obviously stroke index isn’t accounted for, but over a whole year that’s gonna be less relevant. 🤓🤓🤓

Yeah I know, I made this one for our golf society so now it does everything for us. Scores, handicaps, leaderboards and stats all in one place. Everyone has an individual sheet for all their own season as well as our meet scores.

Not aware of any apps that allow multiple users, where as excel just needs an email for us all to log in and use

    I doubt it.

I guess it was "fr'instance" shorthand for one or the other depending on the format being played

I don't really keep a tab on it other than marking a score on the card. The best golfers I've ever played with, you get to the turn add the front nine and realise they are par or near and wonder how? They simply go about making a score.
