Just finished at Portstewart. It rained for about 13 holes but Glynn and I didn’t really mind at all.

The course is amazing. Front 9 reminds me of Trump Aberdeen and the back nine reminds me of Silloth. Greens were quick and really true. Managed to sneak a win by 3 and 2 aswell.

Cannot wait for RCD tomorrow. Got to beat the 85 I shot there last time out.

Patrick, whilst I may agree you want the course in peak condition I just can't justify the £210 green fee.

Hence the risk by playing in November.

Royal County Down is costing us £70
    Royal Portrush is £60
    Portstewart is £60
Ballyliffen is £72 for both courses

So £262 to play 5 top 100 courses instead of 1 in the height of summer.

whilst we did have a bit of rain today at Portstewart it wasn't bad and the course was in fantastic condition, the greens were slick and no work had been done recently, it was full tees and greens.

RCD tomorrow and the forecast is excellent.
    10 hcp and rising.

glad it was OK condition wise, the weather you can do nothing about.

When 8 of us were planning our trip which was only going to be RCD, Portrush and Portstewart, we were over £800 each for two nights.
also looks like RCD have put the price up so going to be even more when we do sort the dates.

If you play a great course in winter, it's still great!
