    Sit and Stand desk

Been recommended to get one of these as I sometimes spend very long periods at a desk at a time. Anyone use one and would recommend it? Do you find it helpful? Recommend a specific type? Are the manual ones ok or is it worth paying the extra for the powered ones?

    Any help gratefully received

    I sell both types, Fundy.

Electric motor driven ones are far better and have come down in price a lot in recent years. They also have a much greater height variation which make them better suited for standing working than the manual crank handle versions.

I am based in MK too, so if you want any prices and specifications just let me know.

thanks for the reply, do you have a showroom or just order them in? any specific ones you would look at (trying not to spend too silly money). is there a minimum height i would need it to rise to (based on being 6ft5)

was looking at something like this for eg https://www.furna.co.uk/products/fur...sit-stand-desk

My boss has just had one installed in his home office, he says it’s brilliant, and uses it stood up more, than sat down.

    Re: Sit and Stand desk

I have struggled with lower back issues for a number of years however within the last 12 months or so it's gone up a notch. I had hospital visits etc and it was put down to being office based for years and so the more 'sedentary' lifestyle had impacted on my back.

I was advised by my osteopath to have a look at the standing desks and so went off and having researched the subject invested in a Varidesk.

This is what I ended up with:

    https://uk.varidesk.com/en-gb/produc...h;Colour:Black

Initially I was pretty sceptical as to how much it would help or whether it'd be a novelty that'd wear off however I still ensure I mix up my work day with sitting and standing which really has had a positive impact on the aches and pains that an office lifestyle was causing.

Essentially I would recommend to anyone who spends last portions of their day at a desk.
    In the Bag:

TaylorMade M2 Driver w/ Oban Kiyoshi HB Shaft
    TaylorMade M2 3 Wood
    Titleist 816H1 17Deg Hybrid
    Titleist 816H1 20 Deg Hybrid
Edel Single Length/Callaway Apex CF16 Iron Combo set
    Edel Trapper Wedges (52/56/60)
    Edel E-2 Putter

My reoccurring nightmare is that should I drop dead my wife will sell my golf gear based on the price I told her I paid....

Having used the Varidesk & a full sit-stand electric desk... i can say, if you have the budget then go for the electric desk. The Vari is good, but cant beat the experience of having a high desk. Also another critical thing we have done is to have multiple monitors that plug into the laptop, three is nothing worse than having to look down into a monitor.

I had a look at the system in the office.. Looks like we have Humanscale one.
A human scale desk like this

and a Humanscale double monitor stand like this >>

    Amazing combination...
