    Spain's Shame

Some of the coverage I have seen last night and this morning is disgraceful.

An almost Paramilitary oppression against democracy sponsored and supported by the state.

Spain should be ashamed of its self.

Totally agree terrible way to handle the situation can only make the situation worse.

Reminded me of the way Thatcher treated the miners.

I hope the Scots take note that if the Catalans do get their independence, they are automatically out of Europe, and to re-enter would have to go through the whole joining process other countries have to.
    Forever trying.

Very hostile situation and some of the actions of the police are shocking

So what happens if this vote is a yes - itís all pretty meaningless isnít it because itís not an authorised vote and not legally binding

Police are supposed to be independent and protect the public.

Puppets of the state more like a private army .
They should not have interfered in a political decision to have a vote.

Heavyhanded tactics were disgraceful, Spain should hang it's head in shame.

Will be interesting to hear what the EU say.

Spain is more likely to be suspended by the EU for using violence on it's own people. [Who attacked them with votes.]

Petty anti Scots point scoring when folk are getting battered about the head for wanting to vote is not classy

FYI Scotland is a Country and Catalonia is a region.

The Catalan PM is going to declare independence within 48 hours. Apparently. After that, who knows?
