    Re: Chriopractors/osteopaths/masseuse

booked in for a deep tissue back massage tomorrow....lets see what happens.

Really hope my back loosens up for the weekend....no round of golf but I'd really like to test the cobra one length jobbies.

If they are half decent you should also be informed of a number of exercises to do to assist in recovery.

I’ve had back issues for years. Sciatica practically put my life on hold for 7 years. I still suffer with lower back pain, but it’s totally manageable now.

What helped me no end was swimming, light weights and hot bamboo/hot stone massages. Essentially, I needed to stregthen the muscles in my back. Bear in mind, I was given this guidance by a back specialist at my local hospital. What worked for me won’t neccessarly work for you.

    Re: Chriopractors/osteopaths/masseuse

Had a sports massage today. Slightly ominous when the lady said it can be a little more painful than a regular massage as it goes deeper😱. In the end I was very impressed. She talked about realigning muscles, stretching muscles out, targeting knots. She also linked possible problem areas to my lower back spasms meaning I got a hamstring massage and a right butt massage, apparently that is a glute 😁.

At times I winced but she stopped if ever I squealed too much. After working each area however I felt instantly looser.

I'm a little sore now, not unexpected, but I still feel looser than for a while. It will be interesting to see how I feel tomorrow.

I have been given some stretches to do to help me and I am pretty certain I will go back for more in a month or so.

I find it takes about 3 days for the bruising within to ease off.
The discomfort both during and after gets less after each monthly visit I find.
    Forever trying.

    Re: Chriopractors/osteopaths/masseuse

I had a deep tissue on Saturday..... the girl introduced herself, seemed nice....probably about 7 stone wringing wet with her boots on.

Sweet jesus did she hurt me.

She found 2 spots just below my rib cage, either side of my spine, that were "where I carry my tension". Some light massage at first followed by digging both elbows into my back as deep as my soul until I was squriming around like a worm. "breathe" she said.... pretty sure she could see both my fists clenched ready to beat her to death if she didnt stop hurting me.

On the plus side I feel much improved, even managed to hit 30 balls last night as a test to see if I can play this coming weekend. Lets hope it keeps getting better.
