It's done.... he rides off into the sunset!

Pension sorted, and notice in. Furniture removal to Spain booked. Just need to get a new club sorted... Valle del Este, Desert Springs or Marina Golf? Valle del Este is nice, but not tried Desert Springs yet. Marina Golf doesn't look a bad layout but looked a little tired last time we were there.

And then there's the car to sort. The boss wants something sensible, like a Kia C'eed, Renault Megane or an Astra. A compromise might be a GT version.

Time to crack a bottle of wine.

Sounds good. Hoping to be not too far behind you - certainly in the initial reduction in my working week may happen early next year. Maybe also a sabbatical. Have fun sir!
    to infinity and beyond...

...well from 10.0 to 9.4 this year would be nice.

And with just the October medal to go - I've got to 8.3

Valle de Este is a good choice of club. Played it every other day when we stayed there one summer.

Wednesday had a competition run by the Irish bar near the first tee. I came second three times in a row.

Hard to beat a birdie birdie finish there in the dying light, practically lit by the hotel at the end.

I like the back 9, the front is OK but the back stands out. There are just so many great holes there!
