I've just refused an upgrade as they were asking daft money...I renegotiated a service only deal with 3 times the data for 5 less a month than the previous service (non handset) element of the monthly cost... I'll change the handset when a decent deal appears.

Previous week I made a "cut the cost or shove it" call to Sky who then halved my subs for 18 months..

Saw something online where the 64gb version was going to be 890 and the 512gb version over 1,300, if those are going to be the retail prices, you're going to need your bumps felt if you're considering paying 1,300 for a phone.

For a quarter of that price I can get a Moto G5 plus which is an excellent phone and does pretty much everything over 90% of users would want from a smartphone.

There will be many willing to pay something like 80 for a 2 year contract, they get the latest whizz, the phone compaines get their profit, everyone is happy.
For what its worth, I pay 5 for a sim only monthly non-contract.
    Forever trying.
