When you absolutely crush your irons

Is there a better feeling in golf? I just love that whooshing sound

Very hard to beat, esp if a long iron. Double if they are forged!

Woods and Wedges just dont feel the same.

Crushed a five iron from the light rough to 8 inches yesterday - later noticed I hadn't marked my card for the next four holes! Jeez it felt good!

Yes, it's a great feeling, but sadly doesn't happen often enough.

    Absolutely NOT.
Because when I crush an iron, the ball goes 20 or 30 yards further than I was expecting and ends up way over the back of the green - or even OOB

I used to play forged blades. When you hit the absolute sweet spot it felt like hitting a knob of butter, using a wounding balata ball.
