Re: Southport Links Championship - leading scorer -21 through 2 rounds

Wow 48pts around West Lancs is a fantastic knock.

There's only 4 more scores above 36, the rest are between 17 and low 30's

Well, if it walks like duck, acts like a duck chances are it's a duck

That West Lancs score against handicap is impossible. It stinks to the heavens

It wasn't him, he scored a reasonable 33 points.

It's a different player to be fair, but even he was off 12

A 12 handicapper shooting 1 over gross around West Lancs is absurd.

Sorry I never made it clear, it's another player off 12 who has shot 48pts at West Lancs today.

Ah. Perhaps it was a still day like when me and Simon played there. No wind what so ever.

That just does not happen, level par got through regional qualifying for the Open this year and last year. A somewhat legitimate 13 does not break 76 regardless of it being off yellows or how still it may be with every pin on the flattest bit of the greens.

Perhaps Mr. 21 under was a better golfer, got a dose of the shanks, had some lessons, maybe threw in some aimpoint and learned to pitch? Possible?

Especially at west lancs, it's one of the toughest along the coast.
