    You then get 2 for 1 😁

Drama out of a simple solution imo.
If he had signed it while you were not present then I would agree he was wrong but he did it in clear sight and I can't see the problem.
You could not identify anyone's signature on those electronic things as no body puts their normal sig on them.

They would not have proof though as he didn't sign it.

Maybe its an urban myth but isn't there an old law still in force from days of yonks ago that 'nothing can allowed to delay the Royal Mail'

Ignore all responses to the negative. YOU WERE RIGHT! WITH KNOBS ON! Just who does the postie think he is? If he signed for the parcel for you, and the person who sent them asks for the POD you can honestly say that no one who works at your place signed for them. Let them then investigate what has happened to the goods.

Do not ignore the negative replays!
"Was I wrong ?????" Is the title of this thread.
If a genuine question you surely should weigh up all the replies and perhaps consider that yes you could have been wrong.
If you do not want genuine responses I would suggest not asking the question especially if it loaded with ?????????s

Im of the opinion you should have excused yourself and said "i just need to get this postman on his way".

If everyone decides to keep him back a couple of minutes then everyone gets their mail late.

And that's a problem because? I never understood why people needed to get their mail before they went out to work, and not everyone did. I'm glad to see the RM finally realised this and have changed the way they work (the postmen don't start until 8.30am now). The only reason the postman was in so much of a rush is that they are still on job and knock. They should be polite and wait until you are able to deal with their request. To all who have backed the postman, just wait until you are in the same position! Smiffy could have been in the process of closing a deal and picking up some commission. What would you do, drop everything to deal with the ignorant postman or close your deal?

It takes less than 3 seconds to sign something. Add in 10 seconds for the "excuse me a sec..."

Its annoying and a little rude by the postie but you'd hardly break step signing for it.
    Give it big humpties
