What's that funny red line thing that keeps coming up when they hit the ball?

Not really. The refresh rate is way higher, which when watching sport is exactly what you want. LED is worse, and the blacks are poor for watching movies. The only advantage of LED is it is light, so the transport costs are low. Its also great for watching corrie. Plasma is, and will always be a better picture for sport.

For those with smart TVs etc, the iplayer broadcast is a higher definition than the red button (which is a joke but whatever).

Also that senior lady commentating on the golf needs to be taken out back and relieved of her duties, its painful to listen to.

I guess it depends how big your telly is. If i watch it downstairs on my 32 its not so bad, but then its a small picture, and i sit miles away. Might as well watch on a tablet.

Red button stream is shocking quality, BEEB should ashamed. iPlayer is better, but relies on your tv having internet access, or watching on a pc/tablet/phone etc. Until 22:00 when it's on BBC2 for a couple of hours. Not worried about the commentators, SKY or BEEB, want to be able to watch without squinting to see where the ball is.

Just join the 21st century and watch via iPlayer on your tv

    Smart TVs have it

    Youview boxes have it

    Sky boxes have it

    Virgin boxes have it

    Amazon fire sticks have it

So might aswell watch on there the picture better than the red button

BBC iPlayer is ten times better than red button. That was unwatchable.
