    Mrs/Miss Dr Who

    Why?

Ok I know a few will say why not, but does that mean we'll have a future Janet 007 Bond or a Robina of Sherwood Forest?

I think this last Dr Who has been gash and I'm not a big follower anyway but does it really need to go down this equality route?

By the way I think Jodie Whittaker is a good actress in Broadchurch.

I find it more wrong that anyone over the age of 16 actually watches this.

I'm a bit surprised it's not a black women, utter PC madness.

Some roles it TV should stay the same, Dr Who is one of them, I just wonder how she feels knowing she got the job because of her sex and not because she was the best for the role, now she might be very good at it, I hope so, but no bloke stood a chance this time and that is wrong.

Last series was very good. As for the sex of Dr Who then whoever is best for the role. if that is a woman then so be it, if people get upset because Dr Who is a woman then welcome to 1974.

Haven't watched Dr who since I was about 6 so no idea who has played it then or since, but doesnt the Doctor refer to themselves as Doctor? A position that could equally fit male or female characters?

different to bond imo as the characters have clear defined sexes. "The name's Bond, James Bond". Is one of the moivie industries most iconic lines add to that the chemistry with Miss moneypenny. Don't see there ever being a Jane Bond.

Now if Idirs Elba plays the next bond. That would be a good change!

Care to share how you know this was the case? Maybe she got the role as she is a very accomplished actress who worked with the new Dr Who head honcho on Broadchurch so he is fully aware of her abilities?

I saw the very first episode but hated it and have rarely seen it since. I really don't think if the new Doctor was a dustbin it would make any difference😊
