    Tablet

I'm wanting a tablet so I can input things online on my travels as my fat fingers are struggling with my iPhone, especially with drop down menus.

I don't need anything all singing & dancing, but I want reliability and good value, but not cheap & nasty.

I've got an old Hudl that I hadn't fired up for over a year that I thought might be ok, so I just cleaned it back to factory settings, went through the setup procedure again inputting my email and wireless passwords, then it then started to look for updates and went on a merry go round loop of saying no 'Hudl updates has stopped' and I couldn't get to any kind of menu to access the Hudl?

Any opinions, I'm not techy, this is just for a new venture that some of you will be aware I've started and need to input information whilst on the road.

    Thanks

    Re: Tablet

I have an iPhone 6 or might be a 6s, so if it helps with being able to sync information, even better.

I haven't got a clue what a good price is, nothing silly but I'm realistic.

Size wise, 9-10" I think, although the screen on the Hudl was smaller and OK-ish.

    Re: Tablet

if youre still using the iphone then makes sense to go the ipad route.

your options are the mini which is 7.9" or the normal one which is 9.7"

the most recently launched one is actually cheaper than prev iterations at launch and is just shy of 350 for the basic model, you need to work out how much storage you need as you pay more for the higher storage models and they arent expandable with a memory card (ie are you looking to use/store your site photos or you have those cloud based now?)

If you want cheaper then youre gonna have to go to an android based one which wont be as compatible with phone

    Re: Tablet

This is purely for my new venture, not the rendering so only the odd personal photos I suppose as I do all my site photos on my iPhone.

I need to input POD's and ETA's into a website portal when doing work for a network, my iPhone is too small to navigate around it and it has drop down menus which are a pain.

If you are going down the Android route, have a look at the Asus Zenpad range. Build quality is up there with Ipads and they are much cheaper (plus they take an SD card)
