So after yesterday red card you would expect that high feet like that would see the same response - just seen in the Newcastle match Ritchie goes up with a high foot into Mawsons head but he just missed or just touches because Mawson pulls his head back - what does the ref give then as I reckon the most people want is consistency- he gives a free kick and then the yellow. So a card colour is determined by the injury ?

That doesn't matter, so it's only a red if someone gets hurt... Yeah that makes sense 🙄

Doesn't make yesterday's any less of a red card tho Phil.
Or maybe it was just because it's Liverpool 🙄

Read the law i posted earlier. The card colour is determined by the referees view of the incident and how dangerous he deems the tackle. I imagine had the newcastle lad made contact he would be off, and quite rightly so

    Once again, read the law

    Handicap 28>27>25.8>25.4>25.5>24.7>23.7>23.3.>22>20.5>17.6. 17.7>17.8>17.9>18>17.7

Nope. Both challenges were yellow.... The ref got it wrong yesterday.

If yesterday's was a red and that's the general consensus then so should today's - it was the same high foot maybe even higher but contact was only not made because the defender pulled away - no consistency which is a massive reason there are problems with refs
