    Re: And, we're off, 2017/18.......

Three games in, and Arsenal will be lucky to be 7th this year. Tactically they are clueless, there is no fight, no passion, and they dont even have a recognisable formation.
The transfer window has been badly managed, again. there are too many players nearly out of contract, and too much dead wood, on silly wages.
The coaching staff are stale too.

    Ground hog day.

    Again.

Oh yeah, i forgot to mention the subs. What the heck is going on there? Why wsit til you are 3 down before bringing on Lacazette.
What does Coquelin bring to the game?

If Arsenal let Ozil, Ox, and Alexis go on a free next year, so roughly 130m of player value, and factor in a loss of 30m in champions league money, plus about 40m on wages to players who cant even get on the bench, then they are wasting 200m of cash. Well run club? Not in my eyes.

    A good old fashioned thumping

The front three were outstanding - going to take a lot to stop them and going to be even better when Coutinho comes back in behind them - Can and Gini were just brilliant behind them and the back four nice and solid

    As for Arsenal

Why spend £50plus mill on a player then have him on the bench ! Xhaka should have gone , that midfield is so weak. Arsenal will be lucky to be in the top 6 playing like that - Sanchez just wants out

If your away to Liverpool, surely you play your strongest starting 11 that you expect to work with all season, has Wenger lost the plot樂
You should have asked this several years ago .
This season it seems that he doesn't even have a plot to lose!

    That is truly shocking.

Never mind defending corners. Arsenal look so vulnerable when they pile forward to take one and today was a perfect example. Played right into their hands time and time again.

Can't make simple passes. Starting line up a mess. Contracts and transfers a mess.

Agreed. This season will be a joke. How low can we go? I've defended Wenger in the past but this transfer window has worried me significantly. Hard to see him turn this team around. The rot is clear to see and been there for too long.

Genuine question, what is Steve Boulds role and responsibility because he's just as stagnated sat down as Wenger is. No instructions ever come from the side lines throughout a match, the team run out, play (loose term) and are just left to get on with it!!

Give Wenger a huge contract extension
He is so used to buying kids, he wants his players to play like them.

But lets not detract from a damned good Liverpool performance, which it must be because even P Neville said it was
    Forever trying.

    Re: And, we're off, 2017/18.......

A bad day at the office but I'm not going to get carried away.

Away to Liverpool is never easy and I'm confident Wenger will turn it around.

Lots of work to do that's for sure, all of the unnecessary transfer uncertainty obviously impacting the team ethic.

I remember Chelsea being on the end of a 3 nil battering to Arsenal last year and look how things worked out for them.

Will see a very different Arsenal side when the window closes and when we come back from the international break.

A credit to Liverpool they were very good today.
