Not to mention paying for a new stadium and training ground, a Wenger legacy that will long out live all of us.
I've not conveniently forgotten anything. You're talking like Wenger has had a shoestring budget or consistently had to sell to buy.

Wengers failures in europe hasn't always been down to not having a good enough squad.

As for fighting on 2 fronts excuse, thats not stopped you's when you've won the FA Cup,no?

And as the club record holder of FA cup wins Arsene, as well as Arsenal (they are different entities BTW), does it not show a litany of failure that for such a storied cup team, that this is where you lie in the history of British teams league table of winners:-
    Liverpool 11 1973, 1976, 1977 (2), 1978, 1981, 1984, 2001 (2), 2005 (2)
    Manchester United 6 1968, 1991 (2), 1999, 2008, 2017
    Chelsea 5 1971, 1998 (2), 2012, 2013
    Tottenham Hotspur 3 1963, 1972, 1984
    Nottingham Forest 3 1979 (2), 1980
    Aston Villa 3 1982 (2), 2001
    West Ham United 2 1965, 1999
    Arsenal 2 1970, 1994
    Leeds United 2 1968, 1971
    Newcastle United 2 1969, 2006
Some do include super cup, inter-toto which I wouldnt count, but still?
Sean, you disappoint me, not reaching into your vault of Arsene-inspired reasons as a counter-argument?

Great in FA Cup comps, but not CL cup comps? Why?

Surely its harder to win the CL than the EPL? A team has to perform well in one season to qualify, then carry that form into the CL. In effect, its almost 2 good seasons to win the CL.
    Give it big humpties

Congratulations to City, fantastic flowing football, won at a canter and with a manager who has coached an extra 20-30% out of some of his players.

Well that is a classic pub discussion. No right answer, you pay your money you take your choice.

It’s a billion years since we won a trophy and looking like a billion more until we win another one, we’ve won the League, won the Cup, got a European Trophy.
Given a choice, however unlikely, I’d take a CL title over a PL title.

Jeepers... Where's your aspirations for your team...

Until today there was [however slim] a chance to finish above the blues...
Gotta have some bragging rights beyond just about hanging on in for qualifying for the Europa pot...

Jeopardise a chance of winning a major trophy and CL football next season by wanting bragging rights finishing above Chelsea?

    No thanks.

Jeopardise? over the last 3-4-6 months when Europa rounds were being played, what did you do differently in the PL to protect your Europa position at the expense of your PL position?

I'd say nothing, and quite simply your PL position is what it is due to poor management & poor player attitude (allowed by the management).

You make it sound like you prioritized the Europa, I'd like to know how and when did you do that?
