    Re: And, we're off, 2017/18.......

They were always going to come ou5 the traps flying, bu5 the difference being they’ve wanted every second ball more and have been clinical in their execution.

Robertson aside, who is having the game of his life, Chamberlain is a different player now away from Wengers inability to get the best out of him. His runs on and off the ball are creating channels for the strikers to exploit and he has an air of determination, desire and passion about him that was never seen in Arsenal colours!

They need to keep a clean sheet and keep up the intensity to keep City at bay, but hats off to mad first half, not sure what Pep will change to thwart this rampage as Liverpool look far more hungry imo.

    What a truely superb performance

Brilliant going forward in the first half and then solid as a rock for the second half

Hopefully Salah going off was just a precaution

Shame about Henderson missing the second he was immense

Brilliant from Liverpool. Taken the tie from City inside thirty minutes. Can't see City getting four and even if they do I can't see them keeping Liverpool out. Barca dominant too tonight.

    Not what I expected.

Thought beppe forom EastEnders got it badly wrong in the 1st half. Needs bus parking lessons from the boss.

Pains me to say it but that there Liverpool were well boss. Residents of Merseyside can be rightly proud of their team, especially those young full backs who were superb

A strange feeling....I was shouting Liverpool on tonight. Nervy stuff in the 2nd half,City not really creating much of a threat despite all their possession.
Hoping they can see it out next week.

Liverpool showed tonight that they can defend. 1st half was boss, 2nd half was workman like.

City are a great side with top quality right throughout and a top manager, but, and it’s a massive but Liverpool are the only team that have a laid a glove on City all season.

World class managers like Mourinho,Conte,Wenger,Moyes,Allardyce have all parked the bus against this lot and Klopp has shown they are beatable.

I wonder if, other managers tried something different, City would be strolling the league like they have done this season?

    Brilliant from reds .
Tactics spot on , Said all along City are worse than us at the back they just don’t get tested enough as teams are scared of them.
Quite suprized Pep changed his team from Saturday.
    Fans were awesome.
Thought officials were a bit poor got a few things wrong , there’s five of them and they still miss blatant things.
Looked like a pen on Sterling but after kicking out at Hendo he was lucky to be still on the field.
So was Jesus after hacking Robbo down deffo yellow any other day.
