20 odd years ago most of the time the price would be what 2-3 clubs would be willing to pay. Nowadays its what one club is willing to pay - Stones, Luiz, VVD, Pogba, Walker, Bale, Coutinho.

75 Mill is madness for a centre half, but if Liverpool massively improved defensively and won an unthinkable trophy, would it be then? We now need to put a great keeper with him, and we could be onto something then.

Dave, VVD would be a good signing at £35m or so but £75m is a huge, huge fee. You can't expect fans on a forum not to question the fee.

We clearly paid over the top for Klaassen and Gylfi in the summer and plenty of debates were had then. It's how it works.

If he is the player you hope then you get the last laugh. He is clearly good but is he £75m good?

theres 11 in the team you may have the best forward line in the world but if the defence leaks goals it's not good so the price is irellavant if you need a player for any position IMO.

Its crazy money for a CB, especially one who hasn't had to deal with the pressure of a top club before. You've taken a saints defender who looked class while he was there and we all know how that worked out. It's the same with shaw with us, the pressure and expectations are so much higher, some cope, some don't.

You could argue 75m for a CB is crazier than the money spent on Pog

pretty sure most weren't saying that when united signed Pogba. I'm not saying it's a bad deal, I just highlighted the hypocrisy in the comments made by Klopp and his actions.

Nope, not one post from you supporting the Man Utd fans when we all discussed their signings or us when our signings were discussed.
You only come on to whine about non Lpool fans discussing yous.
