    That's my worry.

I wouldnt be massively surprised if Coutinho goes in January, we have VVD and we bring Keita in earlier for an extra fee.

I think he is gone in the summer and expect Lemar to arrive when he does - we arenít going to keep him for his career so can see Barcelona coming back in the summer and he will go this time

Footie thread forum rule number 1. If it's not you're team then just slag everything off

so far I've noted negative comments of vvds signing, even before he's even signed let alone played, from fans of all these clubs, Arsenal, Chelsea, the Ev, Utd, Fulham. Probably more by now as well.

Maybe the pressure of the premier league has changed his mind, maybe it was just sour grapes at the time? Either way, he's changed his tune
I think Pogba's 89M signing was one of the first of the new "mad market" signings, which everyone was shocked at. Like the Neymar price was also unbelievable, at the time.

Although there have been slight spikes in English and World record signings, the prices of the last 1-2 years are making it so hard to say what value is, or what the going rate should be.

20 odd years ago most of the time the price would be what 2-3 clubs would be willing to pay. Nowadays its what one club is willing to pay - Stones, Luiz, VVD, Pogba, Walker, Bale, Coutinho.

75 Mill is madness for a centre half, but if Liverpool massively improved defensively and won an unthinkable trophy, would it be then? We now need to put a great keeper with him, and we could be onto something then.
