    Re: And, we're off, 2017/18.......

Hodgson supposedly joining Palace and the knockers are out before he's even managed a game yet. Ridiculous. Almost as ridiculous as Palace sacking a manager after 4 games but with De Boer's last two tenures not even lasting 100 days you have to question whether he's a problem himself behind the scenes and it's not as simple as his sides not starting as well as hoped under him

Hodgsons ending with England was poor, from the matches to his press conferences to his final gathering where he himself clearly didn't believe it was necessary to attend. He looked bemused and past his time.

Hodgson is an organiser and may well be what Palace require but if I was a Palace fan I would be feeling down today at the thought of him walking through the door.

He didnt organise Englands best talent at 3 different competitions, doubt he'll do much better with a lesser talented squad

Have you forgotten about the last 3 tournaments he was in charge of england? Based on england alone he shouldn't be nowhere near a professional team again.

Bring in a top European manager and sack him after four games. How stupid is that?

He does catch him but on the arm as he was spinning out of it .
He shows the ref the mark on his shirt.
Good on him for staying on his feet

were we as bad as it looked on sky or were city as good as they looked .
First 30 mins I thought it could be 4-4 by the end both defences looked very nervous.
But we fell apart after the red card.

Quite right but at club level his record is generally solid. I know it didn't go well at Liverpool but at other clubs he did well. Palace will be hiring based on his club record with equivalent clubs.
