Don't think Mane even knew he was there he had his eyes on the ball coming over his shoulder.
You are going to get the crowd calling for a red every time someone's boot is high.
Dont agree with red yellow at most.

Struggle to see how anyone can say that isn't a red card.

Carragher spot on - eyes on the ball is irrelevant, it was endangering an opponent - definite red.

Can only blame Klopp for the second goal he knew we needed a CB those two are just not good enough.
Sala could have had us comfortable but his final ball and finishing is not good enough.
This will be hard to watch now.

The ref's done well there. My initial reaction was that it was a bit harsh. But on reflection and re-viewing (a luxury he didn't have) I think he has to go.

It'll be interesting to see if klopp has changed his opinion by the time the post match comes around.

If Mane didn't think anyone was there he'd try to control the ball with his head NOT A FLYING KICK.

Even at the crap level I played, there was no way, bearing down towards goal that I would not have been aware that the keeper was charging out and going to make the challenge. To try and get there first he put his foot up to get control before the keeper did, and the height of his foot with studs showing was always likely to end up with an injury and imo was a red card all day long.

I am NOT saying that he deliberately set out to injure anyone but there is a consequence when a player lifts his foot and studs to face height

Just seen this on the Sky Sport App

"After initially being assessed at the stadium, Ederson’s not gone to hospital but the Manchester institute of health and performance near the stadium. He’s being checked for possible cheek and jawbone fractures."

I hope hes not that badly injured.

Don't understand why Klopp took Salah off at half time. He was the only Liverpool player that looked remotely dangerous in the first half. Been a pretty dire performance all round from them. Outclassed.
