It's a take it or leave it vote i.e. vote for the deal we've negotiated or we leave with no deal. Not sure much has changed to be honest...

It then has to be passed by the 800 unelected Lords.
Could be quite good sport if they keep holding it back.

Surely that would depend on whether our leaving date gets confirmed in law as 11pm on whatever date it is. Might be slightly less good sport if the Lords keep holding it back and we pass that deadline and leave with no deal in place because of them rather than accepting whatever deal has been offered. Could increase calls for an elected upper house.

And isn't there an unofficial rule that if the Lords returns a bill to the house for it to be reconsidered and the house passes it back unchanged then the Lords will let it pass?

If my memory is correct, the Lords only get 3 goes of rejecting a Bill then the Government can pass it without their consent.

Davis: Right kids, we're having a vote to get rid of the puppy.

Kids: Yay! We'll vote to keep our puppy then!

Davis: If you do that I'll have the puppy put down.

    Re: Article 50

So we have a few Tories who will vote against the Government and Labour who will not declare whether they are for or against - noce to know our elected representatives understand what a majority vote means !!

    Meanwhile across the Channel...

Germany still can't form a government.
Italy is quickly going up the swanny
Spain's Catalonia, their economic engine, is at loggerheads with the 'central' government
Poland and other Eastern members are anti-immigration quotas
Greece is still kicking the can down the road
France has the most unpopular president in their history.

ECB still pumping money into banks because it doesn't know how to stop

Against this harmony that is the EU: Barnier is still negotiating in public with stupid threats like aircraft wont fly - strange since the RoW airlines come and go on a daily basis.

And, still our MPs can't agree - If it was a book I doubt any publisher would believe/accept the storyline!

According to the British press and BBC there was serious Russian intervention with the EU referendum.
May must now declare the result void and have another vote.
