Nice afternoon out on my own. Wasn't expecting much as not hit a ball for over two weeks and had my second best round of the year. Putted very well.

Unexpected early morning winter league fill in for a friend and his society. Most welcome trip to North Warwickshire golf club, matchplay pairs won 3&2 but they ran a singles along side 🤔 and finished 3rd with 36pts. 77 shots

Saved me being bored all day 🏌

In Dublin for weekend and ended up having a spare day, so played Portmarnock Links this afternoon.

Was a very pleasant course. Helps that I played well, but was always able to find my ball when going off track, so always had chances to recover.
Greens were very good. Bunkers in great condition.
Was just a very fair and fun test.
    Would certainly recommend it.

Played at Reading Golf Club today for the first time. Really enjoyed it and had a decent 32 points. Out in 18 and really happy. A couple of bad holes on 14 and 15 but other than that pretty steady. Putter never warmed up or it could have been better.

...and won my first club comp for quite some time, well over a year

35 points round Littlestone playing off the Green tee's which are mixture of the Blues (longest poss course) and Whites.

I'm an Artisan member and there was a good turnout of 25 of the 30 members. Nice 0.2 cut.

Weather was nice and sunny but very blustery, pins were in the hardest spots, and greens very fast as the club was hosting the Kent Golf Union Hinge Trophy qualifiers. A fairly low winning score but does add a god edge as it means I played well on a tough set up.

Best news is a that even with the 0.2 cut i'm still off 11 for this coming weekends SF comp of the yellows.

Only downside is that today was the RNLI Cup so all entry money goes towards the charity so no winnings !! ha ha. but all money to a good cause.

Great afternoon at Hayling with Forumers Drve4Show, Paperboy and D4S's mate Rich. Bright sunshine but blustery and nippy too. Course in very good late year condition with greens running nicely.

Top sausage bap action followed by a 2BBB match and then an excellent curry to finish up. Great company and a great day.

    Cheers, Gordon.
