Great company, a true gentleman, he struggled off the tee the same as me but he had me over with a couple of birdies late on with his putter off the green as he's got the yips with his wedges!

My course has a lot of bare, muddy lies, which are also wet and very hard especially for the shorter ones that didn't need much hitting
    I played at Milford.
Chipping from around the greens was generally from awfully wet, muddy lies ................. to be expected as it's been raining for months on end!
As you say, the ones that don't need a lot of hitting are the ones that gave me the issues.
Hey ho, it'll be summer soon.

Played a 9 hole medal this evening, not good.

I carried a half set, selecting the Browning 440 irons which I thought might skid through the mud better with their wide sole, only trouble was I took the even numbers when every shot seemed to call for odd.

A disaster on the 4th playing my second to a temp green from 70 yards, scored an 8.

played in a club knock out last night, giving away 12 shots.

TBH, he played well and only had one blow up hole and that was the only fairway he missed. got Humped in short, but was in a bunker on almost every hole, you are never going to win doing that

First 12 hole pro's comp of the "Summer" last night and it was a case of after the lord mayors show given a successful weekend. 21 points with 3 x 3 putts and a power shank of epic proportions on our par 3 2nd. I've had one per round for the last 3 rounds now. Those 4 holes aside, it was pretty tidy.

first medal yesterday, probably should have played preferred lies through the green and made it a non qualifier as the course and the rough in particular was very wet.

I had a strange round, mostly I played pretty well but a couple of unplayable lies where I had to go replay the shot, cost me a few shots.
So the first qualifier of the year resulted in a 0.1 back.

The Zoo probably should have been closed today. Very wet, puddles, mud and more puddles.
But we were getting stir crazy and it was officially open with 11 temps.
A couple of dodgy shots but, on the whole, a fairly solid round.
33 points with no blobs saw me despatch Fragger by 6.
Hopefully, by Wednesday, the course will have dried out so we can put supplementary cards in. We've already missed one of our 6 comps and Fragger is away for the next. Supps seems to be the only way to get an accurate handicap.
