Lovely #AwayDay Kings Norton medal played with 2 lovely guys. Windy conditions got it round but messed up for a nett 74 par 72 OB on par 3 17 tough hole

Another medal win in the bin 🔥

1st round of our Autumn Cup yesterday. I played poorly, 5 over on the front 9 but rallied for 1 over on the back 9.
Net 74, 2 over net, which attained a buffer.
Annoyed with my play, but also happy that a bad day can end as a buffer!

I'd love to say I made buffer in Friday's comp but as they haven't put the results up yet, I can't..😣

My golf has been so bad for several years now that I didn't envisage ever posting on this thread.
However having come to terms with the putting and chipping yips (that's the best you can hope for, believe me!) I have found some semblance of a game at last.
36 points in a Stableford represents real progress and whilst it didn't result in a cut it is, at least, a step in the right direction

Another weekend, another buffer. Frustrating but I know a cut is close, played so well at times but just not clinical, for 9 holes in a row I was one under gross, but the birdie was realistically my only birdie chance, 8 two putt pars or good up and downs, just not accurate enough approaching. Work to do!

    Results in.
    Made buffer
    And won Div 1
Mind you, there were only 2 of us in Div 1 (CVG) and he got dq'd - we think for not signing his card
Still, as Fragger says, a win's a win!

Very frustrating round in our Professional's day medal. Finished with a net 72 (+1). That included nine net birdies, but I also managed to record two 9s and an 8, including a 5-putt on one hole. Only missed winning the division by two shots. The computer is down, but there's still the possibility of a cut I presume.

Club Champs and a 2 under handicap in morning was followed up by level to handicap in afternoon, might have sneaked 2nd nett overall
    Handicap : 5.2
