Is Galvin Green Waterproofs really worth the money they ask for them??

Looking to get a full set of waterproofs in the next few weeks as badly need one. Where the best place to get a good deal as well?

Personally, I don't think they're worth it. I've got one of the jackets which cost 180. It now just looks the same as any jacket which cost half the price. Seems have frayed, some stitching come un-done.

    Re: Galvin Green

there was a thread about this a few months ago. general thoughts were no.... there is other stuff on the market just as good for less money.

I purcahsed a proquip kit and to be fair its more than suitable, doesnt let water through, is plenty warm enough, with pockets, and i got top and bottoms for 99.00 reduced from 180.00

I had proquip as a junior, when i gave up i through it away as it was over 5year and was getting a bit tight, my current proquip is 3 seasons old and still looks like new. I would take alot to convert me to another brand of waterproof.

    Re: Galvin Green

I'd get a proquip tourflex one myself: http://www.clubhousegolf.co.uk/acata...terproofs.html

Good enough for the European Ryder Cup team (in the conditions at Celtic Manor!) is good enough for me.
