    Galvin Green

Is Galvin Green Waterproofs really worth the money they ask for them??

Looking to get a full set of waterproofs in the next few weeks as badly need one. Where the best place to get a good deal as well?

Personally, I don't think they're worth it. I've got one of the jackets which cost £180. It now just looks the same as any jacket which cost half the price. Seems have frayed, some stitching come un-done.

    Re: Galvin Green

there was a thread about this a few months ago. general thoughts were no.... there is other stuff on the market just as good for less money.

I purcahsed a proquip kit and to be fair its more than suitable, doesnt let water through, is plenty warm enough, with pockets, and i got top and bottoms for £99.00 reduced from £180.00

I had proquip as a junior, when i gave up i through it away as it was over 5year and was getting a bit tight, my current proquip is 3 seasons old and still looks like new. I would take alot to convert me to another brand of waterproof.

    Re: Galvin Green

I'd get a proquip tourflex one myself: http://www.clubhousegolf.co.uk/acata...terproofs.html

Good enough for the European Ryder Cup team (in the conditions at Celtic Manor!) is good enough for me.
