    Re: Swearing - care required

When I was 5 years old in the 1980s my dad took me to watch Leeds vs Man Utd.
The old chap behind me used every single swear word under the sun for the whole game.
I was sat literally in front of...

Re: Random irritations of the day.

Maybe you should reconsider. Considering this is the way everything is going.
It'll all be contactless or the use of mobile phones mainly.

Although contactless wouldn't have helped at all with...

    Agreed.

Re: Random irritations of the day.

Seems to completely defeat the point of recycling if you are just chucking anything in any bin.

The only thing I am concerned about is making sure we don't attract maggots or anything else.

  8. Re: Where do you store your golf clubs/equipment?

Just recently moved house. Garage is looking much tidier than it did 2 months ago with all the boxes.

you're lucky. We aren't allowed to put degradable liners in ours. Apparently we can wrap stuff up in newspaper, which we have decided we won't do.

Re: Random irritations of the day.

I would recommend not putting any wet food in the brown bin. The bin will stink and you will attract vermin.

Re: Random irritations of the day.

Revenue from speed cameras goes directly to the Government, not to the council. Speed cameras are a direct cost to the council.

I thank my speed awareness course for this piece of knowledge.

    Re: Films

Considered paying for this on iTunes last night. Watched the trailor and changed my mind. Reading this makes me glad I didn't bother with it.
Was it just a poor version of the first one?

Re: Random irritations of the day.

That's a good and fair point. I typically only really see 20mph zones near schools.
Some speed restrictions do seem out of place, that's for sure.

Re: How do you vent? Garcia Style or....

I definitely don't do what Garcia does.

    It's not in my nature.
I'm not a pro so I'm not making a living from it.
I don't have an equipment contract so can't just get another club for free.

    Re: Sunday Lunch

Definitely not being a horrible granddad; you're putting on a great sunday lunch each week and creating a great setting.

I think you are expecting a bit much of a 15 year old boy though.

    Re: Maths / Probability Puzzle

    Swap. Every time.

Watch 21 (Kevin Spacey film - based on the book 'bringing down the house').

It explains it based on variable change and probabilities. It increases the odds of winning.

Re: Used cars - how old is too old to buy?

Can't profess to being a petrol head but I needed to buy a run around for my commute.
Initially bought a 1999 Ford Focus with 43000 miles on the clock. It was a factor of cost and miles for me.
