    The answer is more probably no.
    Attaching any material (lead tape or otherwise) to the face is prohibited. Reengineering the entire face and making it a 'back' permanently, is a different matter...

    It is either a movable or immovable obstruction depending on either the ease of movement or the wording of a the local rule.

    In the case I mentioned above, we have chosen not to deem it immovable...

    IMO the bunker should not be a consideration, the major issue is getting to the far side.

    I suggest you tackle the R&A. I have found they are very helpful in sorting out course problems

    But it does have to have some, some of the time.

    Not quite. It has to be within 2cl of the point of entry not nearer the hole.

    It is not the same as the relief from GUR or Immovable...
