    Re: World Cup Russia 2018

Seems that Pele's prediction that an African team would win the world cup looks further away than ever. Around 1990-02 there seemed to be a move up from 'lesser' teams but it's dwindled and the usual...

Certainly a great, however was held back in terms of personal awards by playing slightly in the shadow of Xavi for so many years. The pair together were as good as it gets.

    Re: And, we're off, 2017/18.......

The former, as a fan you get 6 ECL group games as a minimum next season plus a load more money for your clubs transfer kitty so you'll get better players to watch too.
    Pretty sure despite yesterdays...

    Re: And, we're off, 2017/18.......

Watched FA Cup Final. Game was ok if not a classic, knew it would be a cagey affair.
One major bugbear I have is the primary camera position, it is too low down and either too close to or too zoomed...

Re: Royal Wedding - Meghan and Harry

Why would you care why he cares why anyone cares?

    ......sorry, couldn't resist.;)

p.s. I sort of care. Not a royalist or a republican as such but as long as people enjoy a royal wedding (and...
  8. Re: kitchen taps gland replacement - plumbing question

Tssk, never find a plumber when you need one.

Update - found a spare pair of taps up in the attic on a disconnected sink, took heads off and they fit perfectly. They're round rather than levers...
  9. kitchen taps gland replacement - plumbing question

Had a leaky/squeaky mixer tap in kitchen. Yesterday changed the 2 old glands for new ones and that all went fine. Put taps lever heads back on, seemed to fit ok and secured with the wee holding...

Have a feeling Rashford is going to be the England breakout/standout player, well rested this season and something to prove.

    Re: And, we're off, 2017/18.......

Could do worse than the old warhorse John Terry as a back up CB, apparently has been a great influence at Villa. Old mucker Carvalho played for Portugal at a similar age.

Yep, Everton fans should be careful what they wish for. Delusions of grandeur perhaps?

They need to better appreciate the art called 'Catenaccio' maybe.

    Re: Rangers Next New Manager

Should've watched the 5-5 Hibs Rangers game instead, was a decent watch!

You playing Dier at centre half? Cahill might be better there and put Dier in ahead of Lallana in midfield, use Lallana as a sub? Otherwise tend to agree.
  24. Re: UK prisons - anyone got experience of visiting etc?

Sorry to hear you had to do time, however sounds like you've got your head straight with a good positive outlook going forward. Tough experience I'm sure. Good luck to you.

    Re: World Cup Russia 2018

Think the Ox is crocked, shame as he's had a good season. Keep hearing a view that J Shelvey should go as a more skilled midfielder in amongst some workhorses like Dier and Henderson? Will he go?
