Re: I played today and...(Rolling thread)

There's a lad at my club who wears shorts all year round without fail. Saw him on one of the coldest days of December wearing them, he said his legs never feel the cold. I am similar to be fair but...

Re: Habitual club swapper - am I alone?

If I had a lot of disposable cash I would probably change more, but I don't. I'm on my third set of irons (the previous set I only had for about 16 months though) - got the new ones in Jan this year....

Unbelievably, Canada have lost to Germany at hockey. I thought they'd be nailed on gold for that.

    Re: Winter Olympics

It's not my fault, really, in my office we've had the Olympics coverage on the TV. Curling seems to appear every single day.

GB are out of the semis, into the bronze medal match. We were well...

The women curlers have kicked off against Sweden. Will be a tough match, this. Can see us losing but maybe winning the bronze match.

Re: Least terrible low/no alcohol beer

I wouldn't bother drinking non-alcohol beer, defeats the purpose in my opinion. None of them are nice enough that you would actively want to drink them.

How can you dislike all soft drinks? Too...

I'm sick of hearing about bloody Elise Christie. BBC seem to running an interview with her or a video about her every single day. Two weeks ago I'd never heard of her, now I can't get away from her -...

    Re: Winter Olympics

They experimented with that in football in USA in the 90s, the video is on YouTube somewhere. It's quite funny to watch. Obviously didn't catch on.

She was certainly a loser. Her boyfriend won a gold for Hungary though. If I was him I'd just be wearing my gold medal round the house every day.

A Portuguese lip reader in several media outlets translated what he actually said, and it was something do with calling him crazy and saying something about his mother. No racism.

    Re: And, we're off, 2017/18.......

I think you're going over-the-top defending him here to be honest. Everyone in the vicinity knew that Firmino was speaking Portuguese when he made his outburst. For Holgate to hear that, and assuming...

    Re: And, we're off, 2017/18.......

That sort of criticism should be aimed at Holgate. Making up false accusations of racism is hardly moving things forward.

    Re: And, we're off, 2017/18.......

That was my view as well. Holgate shoved Firmino over the ad boards, then realising he might be in trouble, invented an accusation and claimed Firmino did a racism. He should face a charge for...
