Fine. I dont like him. Just dont. Great to watch when he is on it, but it doesnt make me root for him.
  12. Re: Sunningdale - You will not be dissapointed

    Thats a fair explanation. Thanks.
  13. Re: Sunningdale - You will not be dissapointed

I have played the grove from the tips, pretty much every time, and it is a proper test of golf. Yep, its long, but it is how it was designed to be played. A lot who criticise it havent played it off...
  14. Re: Sunningdale - You will not be dissapointed

You have played with me, and know i am not a big hitter.

No, its not that. Its more the lack of seeing the course as it was meant to be played. There is a big disparity between what you are...
  15. Re: Sunningdale - You will not be dissapointed

Its always been the length, or lack of, that has put me off in the past.

    Re: BBC top earners

Surely some are high up on the list because they do multiple programmes, whilst others do one role, and earn a lot for that. Hence the somewhat unfair comparison between winkelman and willoughby on...

Jonathan Ross must be happy he is no longer with the BBC. He would have topped the table by miles. Cilla too.

    Re: Honours Boards

You dont have an open then?

I would add in the summer pairs knock out and the open to this, and the summer singles knock out. Possibly the 36 hole spring meeting. Thats plenty.

Re: Random irritations of the day.

I should move into a bungalow. I am clearly not designed for steps of any kind. A bit battered this morning, but generally ok. I was right about the babboon look though. Very technicolour.

Re: What's you club most famous for...

The course was designed by old tom morris, despite being in watford. Not a bad name drop. Also had A J Balfour as Captain at one stage.

Re: Random irritations of the day.

No idea. There was still plenty in the broken glass, so i guess my instinct was to save it. Was only 1 pt in, so no excuses. Just one of those things. Wierdly, the divers dial on my watch advanced...

    Re: Honours Boards

I am a big fan of no boards at all. They are just fire wood clogging the place up, making it look old fashioned. Ok for Royal St Georges, where there is one for Open champions, but naff as for a club...
