That doesn't explain the email and verbal responses I've had telling me it would be done soon (i.e. within weeks) and it also doesn't explain how Garmin have managed to push the update out within 6...

    GolfBuddy GPS

I've had a GolfBuddy Tour GPS device for a few years now and thought I'd post a review of the good bits and the bad bits.

The good first - it feels like a well built and sturdy device, fits...

    Re: Iron distances...

Sounds like we have very similar games then, I've never struggled with launch and height but do struggle with distance and the ball balloons up when playing directly into the wind. As such I think...

There are all sorts of things that need considering here, quality of strike, dynamic loft and also what carry you are getting and how much roll out when comparing your self to others.

    All that...

I've watched the TV footage a few times over and I have to say I could not be certain from that footage that the ball was replaced in a different position. Where there is reasonable doubt the game...

Is there no hope your bag will turn up? We lost a suitcase recently returning from Paris and it arrived fine the following day. Are baggage departments looking out for it?

Re: Do you use a line on your ball to aim your putt?

I use the alignment aid on the ball for putts beyond about 3-4 feet, shorter than this doesn't need the ball aiming on most greens where I play.

Re: the NEW way to chip....

If my chipping was poor I'd give this a go but it does look very unorthodox - mind you so does one handed chipping and that works very well for some too.

Re: Your Never Too Old To Learn A Rule

My reading of this was as follows:

Match play - you've lost the hole already (perhaps you're 5 off the tee and conceded the hole) but can continue to play to the hole as 'practice'.

    Stroke play...

Ah, the key word being accidentally in the 'rub of the green' quote. So, if instead of picking up the ball, it hit the dog (poor thing) and then ran out of bounds would that be different again?
