Re: Brexit - or Article 50: the Pheonix!

Yes - James Dyson - it's always James Dyson. Another few examples please...and the guy who runs a successful pub chain we know of.

In the same way as Patrick Minford is pushed forward as an...

    Re: Trump and NATO

Trump demonstrates the extent of his class and being most presidential

When you give a crazed, crying lowlife a break, and give her a job at the White House, I guess it just didn’t work out. Good...

    Re: Ping i210s

My coach was up for the i200s for me. And that was all systems go. But then the i210s appeared and I asked the question - his answer - the i500s - more expensive but a lovely forge-like feel iron...

Re: Brexit - or Article 50: the Pheonix!

Expertise that is no doubt superior to all of that expressed by the wider UK business, manufacturing, industry, commerce, finance and political community - all of whom might know a bit about how we...

Re: Brexit - or Article 50: the Pheonix!

Well there are some Conservative Party MPs who seem to be wishing for No Deal and such as Dr Fox in the negotiating and trade seemingly happy entertaining the idea that it is the most likely outcome...

Re: Best Course / Worse Course

Of course - I forgot - freedom of speech means I can criticise or slag off anyone or anything regardless of whether or not someone gets hurt by it. And since you brought it up - how silly and remiss...

Re: Brexit - or Article 50: the Pheonix!

And what supported these existing contracts and the trade the freight companies might be able to facilitate? EU legislation, standards, tariffs and quotas I suggest - all of which will be null and...

Re: Brexit - or Article 50: the Pheonix!

Indeed - you got it spot on - most of us here.

If you don't listen to LBC I struggle with your description of it as 'rant radio' - the main contributors and presenters are - in the main - trying...

Re: Best Course / Worse Course

I'll be a real grump on this - but I think that it is unfair and disrespectful to be identifying a course as the 'worse' course you've played.

We have no idea of the effort and care put into a...

    Re: Is Football Finished?

At the top level in England (and maybe also in the 2nd tier) football is now to me just like any other form of leisure entertainment - like going to the theatre, musicals, opera, ballet. it's become...

Re: Random irritations of the day......

Apparently the UK's use of the 24hr clock is something that others (especially those from US and Canada I think) find curious - and (I never knew this until recently) they call it Military Time.

    Re: Scottish Prem 18/19

1980s? I would imagine that they still blast Glen Daly's nasally-voiced 1961 recording before games - all together now "Sure it's a grand old..."

    Second thoughts...:)

    But still disappointed to...
  16. Re: What Camera - Bridge or Advanced Compact?

cheers Duncan - I will most certainly familiarise myself with it before I go. My limited experience of being creative with my current compact has proven that it can be fiddly and not immediately...

Re: So what are you listening to at the moment?

how can you say it's over-rated rubbish having never heard it...?

I never listened before as I had heard all the hype back then and so possibly because of that I never bothered...that doesn't make...

  19. Re: What Camera - Bridge or Advanced Compact?

Thanks all. I'm not hearing that much advantage of bridge over compact - other than, as ger says, in respect of zoom lenses. But for travel photography when I might not want to be carrying much...

Re: Thoughts on Surrey club to join

Let me know (PM me) if you fancy a knock, and we'll sort something out.
  21. Re: Club sanctions for Non-return of Competition Score card & PSI entry

I'm confused. If you enter the comp but for whatever reason you do not hand your card in - is that not just the same as a NR? I know as a player you are automatically DQ'd from the comp, but are...
  22. Re: Club sanctions for Non-return of Competition Score card & PSI entry

Has this ever happened that you know of...?

There's the thing. So unusual and extreme nobody would be in the slightest bit fussed.
  23. Re: Club sanctions for Non-return of Competition Score card & PSI entry

I agree. If you complete your round you should really submit your card - even if it's a NR for whatever reason.
