Domiciled in Englandshire like wot I is now, I find it pretty hard to find details on Open tournaments in my area, particularly singles rather than better-ball events which seem to be much more the norm down here.
We're a bit spoiled in Aberdeenshire that there is a dedicated site listing them all, as well as the local newspaper printing a pull out section listing every event across the north-east for the season during sometime in march.
So my question, what about a forum section where members could post details of upcoming opens, or even a part of the website which could be a calendar of events around the country? (I'm talking normal opens, not the scratch regional thingumies)

No, those are the top amatuer stuff.
I'm talking normal Opens for club golfers like you'd find on this site http://www.northeastgolfdraws.co.uk/ for example.
That's what I'm used to, but there doesn't seem to be an English equivalent, in fact outside the north-east there doesn't seem to be any equivalent?

I made a post about Open comps a while ago, and I've been looking for a site like this. Thanks for the advice - although I'm not sure they are all on there, I've registered so I will be notified if others get posted.
It's at http://www.golfempire.co.uk/
