Hi all just to update you that unfortunately we have had no luck trying to source a friendly venue that met all the criteria for the proposed midlands meet at the end of September so looks like we will unfortunately have to bin the idea. Heres hoping we can get a big one organised for 2009

2009 would suit me better anyway, as I had run out of hols, and would have needed to throw a sicky. Not good, if I then get seen in a magazine photo. Bit of a give away.
Sorry this won't happen this year, but thanks for putting in the effort. It is much appreciated.
Fingers crossed for next year.

I think that we just need to get it organised in plenty of time. I like the idea of one big meet. However we should really try a bit harder, (plenty of notice)to have regional meets. Perhaps we just don't want you all knowing what we're really like!!

I wouldn't have been available this year anyway so I am not to despondent about things, bring on next year. Cheers for trying Mike- I agree that you should wait until you find the right club as well, which is friendly, decent and competitive price wise.

I live in Blyth (Northumberand) not sure if anyone is in the North East that fancies a game at some time. Im no means the greatest golfer but at 33 been learning to play the last year it would be good to meet up to have a game as none of my mate really play. so if you are up for it that would be great. chris

Doing it next year gives us a chance to 'lay away' so the spouse can't find our undeclarables.

What day are you going? I'm going to the practice day as a better option for photography.

Next year's a good idea. Also, there's a possibility it would have stopped raining by then.
