...are on the mid-toe rather than centre? Is there something I am doing wrong? Are the clubs not fitted correctly (I had +1 degree up)?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Better toward the toe than the heel or you'd really be in trouble!
Maybe just stand a little closer to ball at address to get the strike nearer the clubface centre?

How tall are you, because I was told that a strike mark nearer the toe indicates that the shaft may be too short, or not upright enough.
That said, my strike is also a bit out of the toe, and I have 1/2" longer and 2° upright. Apparently, some swings are just impossible to correct with club dimensions alone, all you can do is optimise the equipment.
Must be me.

5'8" , I think I maybe standing to far away at address, I shall work on this in practice and see what the results are, failing that new irons are needed

Parmo you should just be able to fit your other hand between your body and the hand your holdind the club with. your arms should be hanging straight down. If they aint hanging straight down and your arms are out infron of your, your reaching.

I tend to put the club behind the ball first making sure the club is in the correct position (not too upright/flat) and take my grip. I'll then build my stance and put the club behind the ball ready to send it into the wide blue yonder (or nearest bush, pond, copse, bunker - delete as appropriate)

If you don't feel you are toe poking it, why worry?
If the shots are making the club head shudder when you hit it, and the ball is going nowhere, that's the time to worry, and it is probably your swing, not your clubs.
Mine come slightly out of the toe, but this is because I am always coming off the shot early. Have tried to fix this for 20 years, and is still a work in progress.

The shots are ok, they sometimes don't sound very nice when they come off the toe but seem to do the job, I just wondered if there was something easy I was missing.

Coming over the top? an out to in swing path? standing too far away? Looking up early?
There are loads of reasons.
Don't buy a set of blades, they will go nowhere.
Usual response really, go see a pro for a lesson, or just accept it and move on.

my thinking was something I am guilty of,hitting at impact with my weight on my toes rather than steady on my plates of meat, causes me to pull and or hit out of toe side of blade but too much info could scramble your brain!!
