Westons Cider
      #48654 - 26/06/2008 19:16

Who else has tried any of the Weston's Cider range?, I am drinking a bottle of the organic one as I type and it is so nice! Never thought I would say this but it knocks the socks of magners!

I a also a big fan of Aspall, any other Cider lovers on here?

I always drink cider in the pub. My preference is actually for Normandy cider and the nearest to that taste that I have found over here is Stowford Press.

If I am not mistaken, Westons produce Old Rosie which is a lovely cider but lethal.

I know Stowford Press well mate, have had many a night out in Andover on it. Its a great drink.

That's the thing with ciders they are usually much stronger than larger. I go to a few beer festivals every year and end up plastered after a few.

The organic Weston's ain't too bad at 6.5% buy most of the others are about 9%!!!

I tend to go to the Peterborough Beer Fstival and one at a local pub in Oakham so have tasted a fair few ciders in my time.

Used to live in Somerset so got to taste a fair few very strange local (farm) ciders. some you could actually see through and with the rest it was usually best not to ask what was in it. Had some vicious heads the day after.

Tried Magners - can't see what the fuss is about. Pretty bland and to me it tasted dead.

Cider should be bright orange, cloudy and make your wee smell of apples.

We get some legendary cider here from Biddenden.

It is real headbanging stuff if you have a session on it but as for taste, it really is nice and available in either sweet, medium or dry, medium is my choice.

Going to grab a couple of boxes of this as my society day tuesday is 5 mins from Biddenden.
