Work of the devil and from the same mould as chippers and wearing shorts. It seems fundamentally unfair to basically anchor a club to the body just because you can't take it back and through in conventional ways.

I agree I use a normal putter and watching pro's use them sickens me, they are supposed to be the talented ones!

They can't possibly be cheating as they are not against the rules of golf.
Morally, however, they are the spawn of Satan and anyone caught using one should have to take a cricket bat handle without Vaseline!!

If I remember correctly the list is now.......;

Belly putters
Shorts
Black gloves
Black shoes with shorts
Black socks with shorts
Hybrids
Rescue clubs
Electric trolleys
Chippers
Wedges (too many allowed!)
Donnay
Slazenger
Nicklaus golf kit (AG own brand thing!)
Once or twice a year hackers
High h'cappers
Slow play
Fast play!
Frozen greens
Tee mats
Too hot
Too cold!
Too wet
Too dry
Rough being to long or penal
Bad etiquette
Poor rule observance
The price of English golf membership

We're a happy go lucky bunch aren't we!

I might have missed one or two though!

there are many ways you can gain an advantage in golf

going to the gym is another one, although that kind of goes against the belly putt

I know some golfers with a standard 35" putter that would easily qualify as a belly putter!

But to get back to the OP neither of them are actually cheating - there's nothing in the rules to say you can't use them. So the 13 (so far) who have voted yes - sorry Guys. You're wrong.
Love 'em or hate 'em they're here to stay until the R&A bans 'em - and they won't because there are too many out there. Personally I wouldn't use one if you paid me and Freddielong wouldn't play with you either but........

Might be because they think they'll sink more putts with them. Just as a wild guess though!!
