Green Shoots of Recovery..
      #140967 - 03/07/2009 19:34

To my game that is.
Now I've got my membership sorted I can knuckle down and get on with it. Played a solo yesterday. Still had a couple of the destructive shots from the last few weeks but +2 on the back 9 showed I can still do it.
Met with CVG again today and played pretty solidly most of the way round. 2 very wayward drives led to doubles as did a poor one on the 1st and the 9th. So 4 doubles in a +12 score of 82 for 34 points - much better but still room for improvement. CVG's 2nd handicap card didn't go as well as the first, signing for an 89 with 3 triples. So he looks like getting a 15 unless he comes up trumps next week.

I'm sort of with you Ian. Got cut two shots very quickly and that magic that got me there is not quite there and there are a few bad holes coming into my game. Its the odd bad shot from nowhere and the continual inability to chip as I think I should that is making scrambling so hard.

Keep at it mate the scores will come when you're comfortable with your game and you trust your swing 100%.
