Well, fathers day came and went fairly quietly from what I saw. Not much on the tele about it or was I watching the wrong channels. It seems dads work all their life and when it comes to THEIR DAY, it seems to go by without much fuss. or............. do you have a great day?

Had a very lazy day watching the GP procession and scoffing the box of choccies I got. Didn't have to cook either. Seems to be much more low key than Mother's Day - my Dad hates Father's Day. He's banned us from getting him a pressie but he will tolerate a card.

Was woken up by my four year old jumping on the bed and shouting happy fathers day.
Went to the gym in the morning while the wife and child visited her Dad, then out to my dad's in the afternoon.

You mean to say that no-one got the 'best dad album in the world - ever!'
You know. The one with all the tracks that you already have on it!

Went to my dads plot at the crematorium first thing Sunday and tidied it up and put some fresh flowers down and then headed off to Leatherhead where I played some pretty decent golf and got mugged on the 18th by a monster putt by HTL. Not the same as the good old days when me and the old man would stay in the pub til we were pretty merry but ok nonetheless

I had the best father's day ever.
I got to play golf and spend the evening in the company of twenty odd fellow enthusiasts and fellow forummers and best of all, my son was there as well to share it with me.
I didn't do a lot with my old man when he was alive other than taking him to the odd football match.
He didn't go in for all that commercial, mushy stuff, more's the pity. Too late now!

I had a good fathers day...I woke up to tea and toast in bed, cards from the wife and kids, then I went off to do fund raising show (for hvy horses), I dressed as a cowboy, introduce the show mounted on a shire horse, led a percheron on the parrade, helped with all the shows changeovers and the kids horse vaulting, then did a song on horseback about blisters, saddle sores, chafing, aching and piles, all to the tune of Rawhide! Came home, had a foot massage after the percheron had given me a glancing kick then stood on my boot and split it, lay back and enjoyed some TV and a cuppa! Very nice fathers day, if a little different?
