Out of interest Liam why are you looking for a 2 iron? I could understand a 3 especially as you are starting to play really well and your handicap is tumbling so hitting one won't be an issue but I'm not sure I see the value in a 2 iron. What club is it going to replace. Just curious really

Is it for an experiment or for "certain"?
As you have a rescue, it seems an interesting idea.
I have a 3 iron which peculiarly seems to go a tiny bit further than the equivalent rescue. It doesn't get much use, but can be a useful weapon on short par 4s. It's not for sale, but I do have a spare head (identical) which I bought to steal the shaft.

I could maybe get you a nike slingshot 2 iron or cleveland CG2 2 iron. Both steel shafts but it depends how much my m8 would take for one of them.

Homer, It's the fact I really struggle to hit my rescue. I dont know why but it can go anywhere.
I hit my 4iron extremely well of the tee, but there is a few holes on my course where I would like to hit an iron, but the 4 comes up shorter than what I would like.
So yeah, I guess it is abit of an experiment... Dont worry I wasn't looking to hit a 2iron from the deck lol.

I can see you handling a 3 iron ok especially of the tee so from that point of view it seems a good idea. I'm surprised you're struggling with the hybrid though as the mizzy is a pretty decent one. Are you trying to hit it too hard?
Mind you the way you've been playing and scoring recently there doesn't seem too much wrong with your game and you're still more than welcome to come over to Ascot for a game anytime you fancy it. Maybe I'll get my regular partner HTL over and if you find a 4th we can take you on

Honestly homer, whatever I have tryed everything, but just none of it works...
and it's not that I havent been scoring well, but it's the shorter holes that have been costing me dearly. I know that once I sort that out my scoring will become much lower.
Yeah that would be great, I have finished school now, so Im free at anytime... just means I would probably get the train to ascot station which isnt too far from the course right?

Liam, I changed from rescue clubs onto a Titleist 803 iron, similar to the Mizuno Fly-Hi iron and it is a wand. You should try them as they are more consostent than standard long iorons withour the high trajectory you get from a rescue.

Liam,
Its about £5-6 for a taxi from the station (taxi office right outside). Not sure of the green fee yet but once Royal Ascot racing is finished this week I'll go up and find out and sort a suitable day out for you.
