T-off position...a bit confuse!
|
|
My first round went very well (Wensum Valley, Norfolk) I manage to finnish all 18th holes just under 100 marks! Fluke...may be?
The question here is What is the best postion when you are Tee-off? I have my left leg nearly in line with the ball but when I watched the open on TV, many pro seem to have the ball right in the middle of the legs! (like iron swing)
Am I doing the right thing? or the Pro are so good, they can stand in whatever position that more comforthable to them?
Thank you

The ball starts off further to the right with the driver then you move it towards your right foot a notch with each club that you go down, I usually have my wedges around 2 inches to the right of centre with my long irons around the middle, sometimes back a touch if Im playing into the wind.

ob1, the ball position varies a bit for all of us, including the pros. Generally for a driver the ball is teed up just inside or inline with the LEFT heel. Shorter irons are generally about mid stance. Some players will tee up a driver further back, some further forward. Some will move the ball progressively further back for each club, some will play all tee shots from the same position. It's largely what gives you the best results.

OB1 the reason they were teeing up with the ball further back was because of the wind. They wanted a more penetrating flight.
