Did I do the right thing?

Hi guys
Went to get some new shoes in AG today and got a bit distracted...
Saw some second hand TaylorMade LH "RAC" oversize irons, and on impulse traded them in for my random powerbilt ones some guy in a golf workshop put together for me after i had my old set nicked.
Regular flex graphite shafts btw, I got them for £100 plus my old set.
Bearing in mind I am a high-mid handicapper (pro reckons i should get down to 15 in no time), how did i do? Are they any good?
