Broke my handicap for the 1st time since I got it in April today. Playing in the midweek medal I thought I'd blown it when I lost a ball on the 14th (made birdie with my 2nd for a bogey 6)and followed up by 3 putting the 15th for a bogey............
........However - drive and 3 iron to 15 feet on the par 5 16th was duly despached for an eagle, followed that up by holing from 70 yards on the 17th for back to back eagles , left a birdie putt on the lip at 18 but finished with a 75 nett 67 which gets my playing handicap back down to 7
All in all a good days work, this score has been coming and long may it continue

Good scoring KZ, back to back eagles must be a very rare thing indeed! You are indeed spoiled for choice in Fife, probably the best county in the UK for golf. Kingsbarns is the best course I've played probably.

Certainly a 1st for me, actually a 1st having 2 in the same round, never mind back to back.

I have had 2 eagles in one round, not back to back, but only once, holed out from about 40 yards on both holes. Does wonders for a score card! Feel like you're invincible until the quadruple bogey on 10 that gave all 4 shots back!

Managed 3 eagles in one round at Wimbledon Common once. Drove the 3rd, 5th and 9th and duly made the putts (the one at the 9th was only about 10 inches away from an albatross). Drove the 15th as well but 3 putted. Went round in 71 (+3) thanks to a lost ball on 18 and a couple of poor shots.
Well played KZ great shooting. I presume you finished in the prizes with that score

congratulations, sounds like you are more than capable of playing to 7 if not less if you can shoot that score with a few easily fixable occurrences e.g loosing a ball. Nice shooting.

Took 1st on countback, (the eagles at 16 and 17 helped there). On the day there were 3 67's from which I came out top, won £37.00 for the sweep and the 2 at 17 got me an extra £11.00. 0.8 loped off the handicap, down to 7.1.
